About
Ingrid, the buckets, and a shop on Ballard Avenue.

The story
Opened in 2018 with six buckets and a borrowed van.
I'm Ingrid Solberg. I grew up in Bergen with a mother who grew dahlias on a balcony, trained with a florist in Copenhagen, and moved to Seattle in 2012. The shop opened in 2018 on the quiet end of Ballard Avenue. Nothing dyed, nothing flown in from the other side of the world if a grower an hour away has it.
We buy from six farms between Skagit and the Olympic Peninsula, and the buckets change every Tuesday. The name is from the two birds that nested in the sign the first spring.
